Children from Cherry and Larch enjoyed a wonderful day out on Wednesday, 12th February at Drusillas Park Zoo, near Alfriston. The children’s learning journey for this term is Ice and Outback and they were lucky enough to see Humboldt Penguins and Rockhopper Penguins. At feeding time they were able to ask the penguin keeper many questions, especially about the penguins habitat and how they have adapted to warmer climates. They enjoyed looking at other animals too, such as meerkats, emperor tamarins and serval cats. A wonderful day out.
