This Saturday families from St Mary’s were excited to take part in the annual Tunbridge Wells Winter Lantern Parade. This year the theme was ‘Water’ and children enjoyed some lantern workshops where they were extremely creative in designing and making their own nautical-themed lanterns. The workshops were run by Caroline Tulley from HARTS (Hartfield Arts and Theatre Society), and were enjoyed as much by the parents as by the children!
Watching the sea of fish, submarines, starfish, sea serpents and boats weave its way through the town was a truly spectacular sight. The event was a huge success, and enjoyed by all. Next year’s theme is expected to be ‘Dragons’. Start dreaming up your next creation and let’s make next year’s parade even more spectacular than this year.
A huge thank-you to HARTS and all the families from St Mary’s who enjoyed taking part in this wonderful community event.
