What a fabulous start to our topic! The afternoon started with a whole school ploughman’s followed by a visit from a farm. The children saw chickens, tractors, horse shoeing and story telling. The children tasted different sausages and were tasked to design our very own “heavenly Hartfield sausage”. The event ended with a whole school nature walk through the fields followed by a chocolate beetroot cake grown with homegrown beetroot.
The children really enjoyed the afternoon and were brimming with enthusiastic smiles!
